CHAS cardholders get to enjoy subsidised medical care at participating GPs clinics. CHAS subsidies and benefits are tiered according to household monthly income, with cards issued in CHAS Blue, Orange or Green to indicate the respective tier and corresponding benefits.
CHAS Blue and Orange provides lower-income households with higher subsidies for treating common illnesses, chronic conditions, and dental services. CHAS Green allows all Singaporeans with certain chronic conditions to receive subsidies for their treatment costs, regardless of income.
Costs
The amount that cardholders pay will be based on the fees charged by the clinic, minus the CHAS subsidies. Patients are advised to speak to their doctors about any likely fees and claim limitations, based on the clinic charges and their health condition.
