As of 1 December 2020, COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab testing is available to all individuals, including non-travellers, without the need for approval from the Ministry of Health. To find out which clinics offer pre-departure COVID-19 PCR testing, please refer to the table below.

If you're taking the PCR test for travel purposes, take note of the testing window to ensure you meet travel requirements.

The PCR test is available at $138* (inclusive of GST).

*Does not include cost of serology test. Please check the serology test requirements of your destination country.

Since 1 July 2020, individuals aged 13 and above and display symptoms of acute respiratory infection (ARI) will have to undergo COVID-19 swab testing under the enhanced Swab-and-Send-Home (SASH) programme. More than 30 Shenton medical clinics are under the Public Health Preparedness Clinics (PHPC) scheme and offer the SASH initiative.


What is the testing window for the pre-departure PCR test?

Test must be done within 48 – 72 hours before your flight.

Travellers are responsible for checking the testing window requirements of their destination country and if the clinic can meet the required timeline.

Do allocate adequate time to take and receive test results before departure from Singapore. For latest updates, do check the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority website.


What documents do I need for the pre-departure PCR test?

Please bring the following documents for your PCR swab test:

  • Identity card for Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders only, and passport (for all travellers)
  • Soft copy booking reference showing your departure flight timing (if applicable)

When and how do I get my COVID-19 PCR swab test results?

We will inform you of your COVID-19 test results within 24 hours.

We will email the results memo to you within 24 hours. You are advised to print this for easy reference during your travel.

*In the event that delay in results delivery occur due to unforeseen circumstance, we would not be held responsible for any missed flights.


Digital COVID-19 swab test results with Accredify

Parkway has partnered Accredify to provide verifiable digital COVID-19 swab results to enable an easy and smooth travel process for outbound travellers. Travellers can present their medical record’s unique QR code to immigration authorities for immediate verification.

As we only issue the Accredify memo as standard, an additional Fit for Fly memo is only issued if it is the country of destination's specific requirement eg. Japan, Thailand.
